Noida - The institutional showcase

At
Noida, growth on the institutional front has kept
pace with the rising demands of commerce,
industrialisation and urbanisation.
Banks and Financial Institutions
In addition to leading international banks, almost
all nationalised and private sector banks /'lave
branches in Noida, many with ATM centres. Financial
institutions like UPFC and PICUP are equally well
represented, as is the insurance sector with every
nationalised company operating a branch here.
Educational Institutions

Prestigious
educational institutions like Amity, Apeejay, Army
Public School, Cambridge, Delhi Public School,
Khaitan,Vishwa Bharati Public School and Sommerville
provide top-grade educational facilities not only to
Noida's residents but also to students from Delhi
and adjoining areas. IT education is offered by
leaders in the field while technical qualifications
are provided by vocational training institutes.
These include the JSS Academy for Technical
Education, JP Institute of Information Technology,
MGM College of Engineering and NVTI. Business
courses are already offered by the Institute of
Management Studies and Amity Business School, and
the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, will
soon be extending its facilities to Noida.
Hospitals
Medical facilities abound with multi-speciality
hospitals, nursing homes and other health-care
centres all over Noida. Catering to the citizens'
health needs are: Fortis Super-Speciality Hospital,
Max Hospital, Kailash Hospital, Metro Heart
Institute, Noida Medicare, Vinayak Hospital, Sumitra
Hospital, Prakash Hospital,Bharadwaj Hospital, Pryag
Hospital, the ESI hospital etc., CGHS dispensary and
various ayurvedic and homoeopathic clinics. Even the
Dharamshila Cancer Hospital, Delhi, is just a
stone's throw away.
Government Establishments

Attracted
by the facilities available, many government,
semi-government and public-sector undertakings have
opened or shifted their offices to Noida. Among the
many are: the Central Ministries of Health and
Family Welfare, of Science and Technology, and of
Labour and Welfare. Major players include NTPC and
its R&D centre, IBP, LIC, GAIL, IOC, KRIBHCO,
PPCL, NFL, FCI, HUDCO, PDIL, ICMR, VVGNLI, BHEL,
FDDI, and Bharat Petroleum.
Packages for Institutional Development
Special packages are offered for institutional
development ranging from land allotment to group
housing schemes that ensure speedy water,
electricity and telephone connections. These
packages are available to corporate offices,
research and development centres and vocational
institutions eligible under NOIDA's institutional
packages scheme.
Development along Gautam Buddha Expressway
Prestigious projects are also to be established
along the new Gautam Buddha Expressway. These
include: attracting NRIs and MNCs to set up
IT/software-related enabling services, and
world-class institutions in the educational,
training and R&D fields by major corporations
who have shown keen interest in the area.
